Fashionable and functional are two of our favorite words. When we found the Leifsdottir ‘Dandelion’ Georgette Skirt with ample pockets on sale for $123.90, we paired it with Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Devon Dobby Voile Top (on sale for $99.90). And of course, the Bucklette Buckle and Belt.

The girls here at Bucklette headquarters wear a lot of dresses in the summer. And we recently found this new line called Leifsdottir brought to you from the folks at Anthropologie. With layered ruffles, a soft silhouette and “inky orbs bouncing amid cherry-red roses and chinaberry vines”, the Fey Grove Dress ($348) is equal parts fun and feminine. Shown with the Bucklette Buckle and Belt.

We’ve mentioned Diane von Furstenberg before. A goddess. A fashion icon. A genius! We love the wrap dress, of course. But thank you for designing the Whitley Dress. The draping is perfect, the color is fantastic and we love how it looks with the Bucklette!

The Whitley Dress. Available at Net-A-Porter.com for $365.

Everyone has a favorite brand of jeans. I absolutely love AG by Adriano Goldschmied. The Angel cut has the perfect amount of stretch and a low rise with a boot cut leg ($164 at agjeans). I pair mine with the Bucklette Clip-On and this cute tie dye tank by Marika Charles ($84 at Knit Wit).

This summer, it's white jeans and tie dye.

Phillip Lim is hands-down my favorite designer. His collections tend to be simple, sculptural and classic, yet right on trend. Draping perfectly on the female form, his clothes simply flatter women. Here’s a little black number that I picked up at Nordstrom ($375) paired with the Bucklette Buckle and Belt. This cotton dress is so versatile, I’ve paired it with flip flops and gladiator sandals during the day, and heels at night.

Graphic prints in black and white are everywhere. W, Vogue, In Style and even Shape magazine are all showing fabulous frocks in the dynamic duo.

I absolutely loved the gorgeous abstract-plaid dress by Ports 1961 ($1,025) on page 162 in the May issue of Vogue. If your current budget doesn’t allow for that particular dress, I found one at Ann Taylor that was somewhat similar and very reasonably-priced. Kinda even reminded me of a Jackson Pollack painting. Accessorized with the Bucklette Buckle and Belt.

My last Lookbook post inspired by a spread in Lucky Magazine was such a hit, I decided to use it again. (Don’t be surprised if this becomes a recurring theme). Here’s a second outfit based on the Prettiest Spring Florals editorial in the April issue. This one’s a Tough Romantic combo (the ideal hard and soft mix of a billowy blouse and skinny jeans) shown on page 168. Paisley and Floral Drawstring Blouse by Lucky Brand, $69. Grey Xhilaration Jeans $21.99 at Target. We pair it with the Bucklette Clip-On.

For me, Lucky Magazine is a monthly must-read. I devour it from front-to-back and thoroughly enjoy the articles, products and affordable wardrobe ideas featured throughout. In April’s issue, I particularly liked the Prettiest Spring Florals editorial that starts on page 168. Not only were the combinations flattering, but reasonably-priced as well. Here’s an outfit inspired by one of the Witty Classic combos shown on page 174 with the Bucklette Buckle: Ann Taylor Floral Dress $159 (anntaylor.com for locations) with a linen and cotton wrap with short sleeves by J.Jill (model’s own).

Most days, I find myself running errands and then heading straight to the gym. I never worry about finding a handbag that looks good with my sweats. The Bucklette Clip-On does the job and is shown here with my favorite hoodie, the most amazing yoga pants EVER (both by Lululemon) and a Smartwool top.

I have to admit, I rely way too much on basic black. It’s easy, slimming and it always makes things look more expensive. One of my resolutions this year is to branch out with more color and more texture. Here’s an idea with a little sparkle too: the Bucklette Buckle and belt paired with a French Connection skirt, a Michael Stars tee, and a beautiful Magaschoni cashmere wrap. I’d wear this for a nice dinner out.
